Bite sized

On (most) mornings I am slow to rise, wallowing in the gap between waking up and being awake.

Rosalie likes to get into our bed, often playing one of her complex games, where words and actions have to follow the correct sequence every time. One of her morning favourites is called Bed Bugs. This involves her disappearing under the covers and me pretending we have some kind of infestation.

Of course in her version of reality, bed bugs are nice cuddly things that you can keep as pets. Or so I thought.

Last week, after playing the game, she revealed to her mother that she had, "Bitten Daddy's leg and he didn't feel it."

I am usually quite diligent about checking my legs for scrapes and bruises. It seems I now have to check for teeth marks too.

A bite size of a different kind today: My article in today's Guardian about an ingenious invention...
