For those who noticed my absence, I offer my apologies. This has been largely due to a condition which has affected my arms. It is called 'holdingthebaby'.

Ta-Daah!

Yes, Felix John Rushby-Smith was born on the 16th April. He's in fine fettle, if a little too nocturnal. We are all well and thriving. Well, to be honest, an extra eight hours sleep would do us the power of good, but, hey, you can't have everything...

So, now my intention is to get back in the saddle, and catch up with a few looming deadlines.

On the work front, here's a link to my article in today's Guardian.

I've been itching to write this one for some time. As anyone who has read my book (so all of you, no?) will recall, the wheelchair skills programme played a big part in developing my confidence about what the future may hold. It is very satisfying to think that I may be able to pass that on to others. I feel privilaged to have the opportunity to do so.

There. All a bit upbeat. Sorry, 'bout that. We even beat Manchester United on Sunday. I'm sure I'll find something to rant about in the next week or two.
